Compudata Health Corporation’s
interdisciplinary Care Planning software module allows automatic
linking of identified “problems” to standard care plans,
thereby responding to the OBRA “triggers” requirement.
Our Care Planning module provides a care plan library which can
be modified to accommodate your facility’s policies, and
new care plans can easily be added to your library without intervention
from Compudata. Facility care plans may be “suggested”
by the system based on the resident’s diagnosis and/or assessment.
It is this function that “triggers” or drives the care
plan from the assessment, thus accommodating the philosophy of
“problem”- or “outcome”-oriented care. After
a standard care plan has been selected for a resident, it may
be customized to represent more accurately the care required by
that individual.
Numerous care plan print formats are available along with resident
or worker flow sheets. One of many print options is the ability
to print a selected care plan with user-defined dates and run
it for all or selected residents for which it is applicable.
Freeform progress note entry allows notations for each resident
to be entered by discipline, assessment, worker, or care plans
as they occur. Each notation is logged by date and time and may
include an unlimited amount of text. Progress notes may then be
referenced for each resident in total, by a particular discipline,
or by the individual who entered the notation. The system also
offers the ability to lock progress notes for paperless charting
purposes.
