Compudata Health Corporation:
A Brief History
Compudata Health Corporation
emerged from its sister company Compudata Services, Inc. umbrella.
Founded in 1977, Compudata Services was originally formed to provide
custom programming services to general businesses and industries
in Central Pennsylvania. Through continual expansion and a number of
acquisitions, Compudata Services has grown to include service areas
from manufacturing and associations to legal and medical groups.
As a result of a contract with a local nursing home in the late 1970s, Compudata
Services developed a specialty in the area of financial management
packages for long-term care facilities. When an expanded interest in this
service began to develop, Compudata Services responded with subsequent
system developments in both financial and clinical software
applications. As demand for this type of software continued
to grow, Compudata Services recognized a need for a division dedicated
solely to long-term care management software. In 1986, Compudata
Health Corporation was established.
Compudata Health Corporation allows Compudata to provide an array
of clients with an effective software
solution designed solely for the long-term care continuum.
